I Just Haven't Met You Yet

I went to Cydney's missionary discussion today. She decided that we should meet in her community's clubhouse.

There was music playing, and the missionaries kept getting distracted during the lesson as they recognized songs. It was cute. I think that would probably be one of the hardest parts of going on a mission.

I believe this was one of the songs :)

Rock On

Last night as I walked out into the garage, I discovered a group of teenage boys in my car.

Usually, this would have been a delightful surprise. I mean, who wouldn't want a bunch of cute teenage boys in their car?

I probably would've been excited had they been 18 or 19 year old boys, but no. In this case, by "teenage boys" I mean a group of 13 year olds. And by cute I mean cute like a teddy bear. It was my little brother and all of his friends.

I calmly chased them down the street, threatening their lives...

 (Okay, so maybe I wasn't very calm.)

After they admitted to trying to prank me, I gave them permission to finish on one condition: They must clean out my car. I even offered to take them all to get slushies if they did a good job.

As I climbed in my car this morning, I was delighted to find my textbooks in a neat stack and my backseat clear of any clothing. On my dashboard was a stack of papers held in place by this cute rock.

If you look closely, you'll see it's a very happy rock.

Those boys rock.

Looks like I owe them slushies.

We met in fourth grade, and we've been making history ever since.

I love her :)

Good news! She's coming to Vegas for a few days in April!

Family History

Today I had the opportunity to do some genealogy work.

I'll be honest. As I walked into the room, I wasn't very excited. Everyone was crowded around a bunch of laptops, and I wasn't thrilled to be joining them.

As I sat there for a few minutes, I relaxed. I watched intently as the little old man across the table from me squinted at the screen in front of him. He barely moved as he concentrated on the computer. I smiled to myself and secretly hoped that I could find some way to get genealogy to spark my interest as much as whatever was on his screen. The intensity with which he was looking at that screen just tickled my funny bone. How could family history be THAT interesting to ANYONE?

A missionary walked up to the man, "Do you need any help?"

The man slowly turned to him and replied, "Well, yeah! I can't figure out how to turn the durn thing on!"

Cowboy Boots and Mirrors

Hi, so.. I'm Toni.

I'm really weird. You get used to it after a while.

Mostly, if you're reading this... you should probably know a bunch of random facts about me. So here's some really weird ones.

1 - I've learned more Spanish in the past month of working at Del Taco than I ever did in 2 years of Spanish class.

2 - I've been craving island food for months now. If you're Hawaiian or Samoan and you're reading this, PLEASE invite me over for dinner, okay?

3 - I've got half of a spiderman action figure on my key ring. It's a great conversation starter.

4 - I got cowboy boots for Christmas and I like to wear them to church. You can't stop me. Muahaha!

5 - My car's name is Izzi, my GPS's name is Maggie.

6 - I have a collection of prom dresses despite the fact that I've never been to prom.

7 - My first kiss was approximately 3 years and four days ago.

8 - I'm currently 18 and a half and a week and 5 days old.

9 - Remember those "LiveStrong" bracelets? I used to have a massive collection of them.

10 - I used to have the entire Lion King movie memorized. It's still my all time favorite movie ever.

11 - I once had the starring role in a school play. I was the grinch.

12 - Even though I can't sing, I once had a solo in a school musical. I was a boy.

13 - I spend far too much time on facebook.

14 - Someone once told me to "Do one thing every day that scares you", So I hung up mirrors in my room. I'm terrified of mirrors.

15 - I want to witness a spontaneous breakout of song and dance. 

Taco Tales Chapter 4 : Seductive Voices

Today was Michelle's birthday. Both Patsy and Michelle took the day off to celebrate, meaning that Danny got to take the place as Manager for the night.

We had a grand time catching up and passing out the millions of tacos that people ordered.

As the cars slowed down, we got some time to talk.

"So I heard you got lots of numbers while workin?"
"Umm... I wouldn't necessarily say a LOT..."
"Yeah.. Okay. That's not what i heard!"
The drive thru bell rang and saved me from the embarassing conversation. I answered it.

"Thanks for choosing Del Taco! How are you tonight?" I said, secretly thanking the customer for saving me.

"Oh my goodness." The customer replied, "YOU have a sexy voice."

I laughed so hard that I died. They were rather disappointed when I made Danny finish the order. He had to. I couldn't breathe.
