When a Country comes together..

Almost 10 years ago, two days after my birthday, I sat in my third grade class and listened as the teacher told us about the tragedy of 9-11. I rode my bike home, hugged my mom, and spent the night watching the story unfold on the television screen. This horrible devastation pulled our country together in a way that my little third grade mind couldn't even begin to comprehend.

Last night, President Obama announced that Osama Bin Laden had been killed. His speech was intricately worded and extremely powerful. Social Networks exploded. Phones buzzed, "Are you watching the news?" The country tuned in to hear our president speak.

However, it wasn't the president's speech that had the greatest impact on me. It was this video.
People started gathering in front of the White House in celebration of the Death of Osama Bin Laden. They were chanting "USA! USA!" and broke into song, singing the Star Spangled banner.

It was beautiful.

I'm VERY proud to be an American.
